iPhone 16 Pro Max repairs explained
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is a large phone with a 6.9-inch display and a titanium design, so when it does take a hard knock there is plenty of glass to protect. Apple’s latest-generation Ceramic Shield is designed to improve durability, but it is still possible to crack the display on a hard surface. Below is what each repair actually involves, so you know what you are booking before you spend anything.
iPhone 16 Pro Max screen repair
We offer two screen options. Our Premium option uses OLED technology to retain the deep blacks and display characteristics customers expect from a Pro model, and carries our lifetime warranty. Our Standard option is a more affordable alternative with a 12 month warranty. We test brightness, touch response, Face ID and other key functions before the phone goes back, and we preserve your original TrueDepth camera system where it is undamaged.
If your display is cracked but still responding to touch, it is worth booking sooner rather than later. A crack compromises the protection the glass is there to provide, and damage that starts small tends to get worse with continued use.
iPhone 16 Pro Max back glass replacement
The iPhone 16 Pro Max has a separately serviceable rear-glass assembly. Replacing it involves carefully heating and separating the adhesive, disconnecting the rear assembly and resealing the phone correctly afterwards. If only the glass over one of the camera lenses is damaged, that may be a different and cheaper repair, so send us a photo if you are unsure and we will tell you which one you actually need.
iPhone 16 Pro Max battery replacement
You can check your battery in Settings, under Battery and then Battery Health & Charging. If your maximum capacity is approaching 80%, or the phone no longer comfortably gets you through the day, a battery replacement can make a noticeable difference. On a phone this size, degradation usually shows up as shorter runtime rather than sudden shutdowns.
iPhone 16 Pro Max charging port repair
Charging problems are often caused by debris, wear or damage around the USB-C connector. If the cable only charges at a certain angle or disconnects when the phone moves, we inspect the port first and replace the connector where necessary. Wireless charging faults are a separate issue and are usually related to the coil rather than the port, so if your phone charges by cable but not on a pad, that is the repair you want.

What’s the difference between a Premium and a Standard screen?

Will I get a “parts” warning message after the repair?
If your phone already shows a parts message on the display or battery before it reaches us, we may not be able to remove it — that message relates to work carried out previously. If there is no message when you send it in, there won’t be one after we’ve repaired it. We make sure of that as standard, and plenty of high-street repairers don’t address it at all.
Does Face ID still work after a screen repair?
Yes. Face ID relies on the TrueDepth camera system, which is separate from the display itself. We preserve your original TrueDepth system where it is undamaged, and we test Face ID before and after the repair so you know it is working when the phone goes back to you.
How long does a repair take?
Most repairs are completed within 24 hours of your phone reaching our workshop. We’ll email you as soon as it’s tested and on its way back.
Is my phone insured in the post?
Yes, tracked Royal Mail postage both ways with transit insurance up to £750. Postage is included in the price you see above, in both directions.
Can I drop it off instead of posting it?
Yes, our Harlow workshop takes walk-ins as well as postal repairs. Book online first and we’ll have the part ready when you arrive.
Will I lose my data?
No, our repairs don’t affect your data. That said, we always recommend backing up beforehand as a precaution before any repair.
What if my phone has more than one fault?
