iPhone 14 repairs explained

The standard iPhone 14 is one of the cheapest modern iPhones to keep running, and there is a specific reason for that. Apple redesigned the internals of the 14 and 14 Plus so the rear glass comes off from the back rather than requiring the display to be removed first. The Pro models of the same generation did not get that change, which is why back glass here is £89.99 against £149.99 on a 14 Pro.

iPhone 14 screen repair

Our Standard screen starts at £64.99 with a 12 month warranty, and our Premium OLED option is £89.99 with our lifetime warranty. Both are fully compatible and fully working. We test brightness, touch response and Face ID before the phone goes back, and preserve your original TrueDepth camera system where it is undamaged. On a phone of this age and value, screen repair is almost always worth doing.

iPhone 14 back glass replacement

Thanks to the redesign, this is one of the more straightforward back glass repairs in the whole iPhone range. Six colours are available so we can match your handset. If only the camera lens glass is cracked rather than the main rear panel, that is a separate and cheaper repair — a photo is enough for us to tell you which one applies.

iPhone 14 battery replacement

At £49.99 this is the least expensive repair on the page, and on a phone of this age it is usually the one worth doing first. Check Settings, then Battery, then Battery Health & Charging. Below 80% maximum capacity is Apple’s threshold for servicing, and a phone at that level will feel meaningfully better with a new cell in it.

iPhone 14 charging port repair

Lightning ports wear with use, and after a few years the symptoms are familiar: a cable that only works at one angle, charging that cuts in and out, or a connector that no longer clicks in securely. We check for compacted debris first, since that costs nothing to resolve, and replace the connector where it is genuinely worn.

Common questions

The things customers usually ask before booking an iPhone 14 repair.

What’s the difference between a Premium and a Standard screen?

Premium is an OLED display, the same panel technology Apple uses, with the colour depth and deep blacks you’d expect from the original. Standard is an incell display or equivalent — a quality alternative at a lower price. Both are fully compatible, both are covered by warranty, and both give you 100% working touch, brightness and True Tone.

Will I get a “parts” warning message after the repair?

If your phone already shows a parts message on the display or battery before it reaches us, we may not be able to remove it — that message relates to work carried out previously. If there is no message when you send it in, there won’t be one after we’ve repaired it. We make sure of that as standard, and plenty of high-street repairers don’t address it at all.

Does Face ID still work after a screen repair?

Yes. Face ID relies on the TrueDepth camera system, which is separate from the display itself. We preserve your original TrueDepth system where it is undamaged, and we test Face ID before and after the repair so you know it is working when the phone goes back to you.

How long does a repair take?

Most repairs are completed within 24 hours of your phone reaching our workshop. We’ll email you as soon as it’s tested and on its way back.

Is my phone insured in the post?

Yes, tracked Royal Mail postage both ways with transit insurance up to £750. Postage is included in the price you see above, in both directions.

Can I drop it off instead of posting it?

Yes, our Harlow workshop takes walk-ins as well as postal repairs. Book online first and we’ll have the part ready when you arrive.

What if my phone has more than one fault?

No problem, just book each repair you need. If you’re not sure exactly what’s wrong, get in touch and we’ll help you work it out before you book.
